Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

No apologies for the Pigeon

It was another prolonged encounter with a feeding Pink-necked Pigeon, a female this time, and as before I was not prepared to let go of this photo opportunity even though I might look like I had had enough.  This was in fact by far the closest to a one-to-one encounter.

The broken-off piece was held almost daintily!

Smiling and feasting at the same time, most pohotogenic!

A swift flutter and twist, and it's to another vantage position.

This time it looked like it's going for the flower.

Nope, perhaps not palatable yet, so it twisted elegantly, and provided another elegant pose!
