Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Babbler's belly on!

I've always found the Pin-striped Tit Babbler a challenging bird to photograph because it's ever super active.  However this was one occasion where it was seen to call out relentlessly but to no avail as nothing happened.  Nevertheless it's just another occasion for belly-shots, not at all ideal.

Normally I would not come across this Babbler way up the upper canopy.  It frequents more the shrubs and undergrowth.
