Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

One over the Wagtail

I had the vantage point, and this super-alert Grey Wagtail was not the least aware that it was being watched.  In it flew, striding purposefully to the end of the ramp, and I was surprised to see it return immediately with a catch.  It looked like it was going to feast somewhere.

But to my astonishment it proceeded to spit it out, guessed it could have mistaken its catch for a tadpole which is more of its diet.

Empty-beaked now, looked like it had to continue to look out for a prey.

Looking rather lonesome and dejected, it simply moved on, and disappeared out of sight, wagging its tail!
