Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Self-absorbed Bulbul

In just minutes the Stripe-throated Bulbul was all above me, not even bothered that I was there.  It was here and there, doing what it wanted to do, calling, threatening, foraging.
Rather puzzling behaviour but truly entertaining.

I couldn't make out what caused this intimidating look, and then it was off, as I sped after it, to see it settle down on a fruit pod.
