Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Play time

When I see a gathering like this, I know how educational going to the park can be for kids.  Take this tree for example, it'll be challenging and fun for the kids to play counting and species identification.
So here, we can easily identify the male Pink-Necked Green Pigeon, the Asian Glossy Starling, both adult and juvenile.  There may even be a Myna somewhere.
