Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

White and black

The flashes of white immediately caught my attention and I was thrilled to see the Pied Triller.  I tend to see more of the female and to watch this male flitting was quite a treat.
It's another bird that does not linger.  In fact it doesn't come low down but keeps to the higher parts of the trees.  But the unmistakable white body with black splashes does give it away among the green leaves.
