I recall how a senior birder once said to me that birding is not just about chasing number of birds. It's also about observing bird's behaviour. I fully agreed with him, and added that it's also about the challenge of identifying the male and female of the species. It's always a challenge, of especially common or garden birds like this Myna where their physical differences are hardly visible
Could its behaviour then reveal its gender? If so, this strutting scowling Myna seemed to suggest its masculinity!
