Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A wow! catch

Another National Geographic moment in the taman when the Water Monitor Lizard was seen to go for its catch.  It was just a couple of minutes ago when I saw it sway its way across the sand bar and into the water, looking very determined and confident about its intent.  It obviously knew the stream very well because only moments later it emerged with its fantastic catch.

And then it was home with the prize.
