Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Barbets here and there

It was interesting to note that whilst the young Coppersmith Barbets, and I counted at least two, maybe there could even be a third one, were at one tree, the more adult looking ones were at another tree.  Different fig fruits, as it looked like the young ones were for the riper and bigger fruits, looked softer too while the older ones were for the smaller ones.
With this Barbet, it is not easy to stop shooting - you'll want to go on, always hoping for the next best image.  No matter, as this adult Barbet really comes across as truly beautiful, from any angle.

The younger ones seen at different times of the day.
