Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Confiding Serpent-eagle

This Crested Serpent-eagle is increasingly seen in the taman these days, and this time it was perched pretty low that it didn't seem to mind me going close to it.  In fact I was less 10ft  from it and could even walk about to photograph it from different angles!
