Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Bee-eaters now

The Blue-tailed Bee-eaters are here and everywhere but in the taman, and today I saw them there for the first time.  And they were there at eye-level as I approached, except as with all birds, they fled higher as one got closer.  Anyway, there should be plenty of them around now till early next year, and here's  to more pics later!

And in the afternoon, these juveniles were spotted.
