Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

A fruit for my fair one
When fruits are aplenty, what does a bird do? It is a surprise though to see that not many birds go for these ripe fruits, perhaps these are over-ripe.
But this one did - this Black-naped Oriole tugged at one, crushed it, and swallowed it in a jiffy!
