Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

To complete the Shrike family

I managed to obtain these images of the Brown Shrike, male and juvenile female, on different occasions and was hoping that the male would appear again in better lighting condition but it was not to be.  It looks like only the juvenile has decided to hang around.  It's also hoping that the adult female will be seen sometime.
