Taman Rimba Kiara is a little green gem located in a corner of the TTDI residential area. The above flowering tree, the firmiana malayana or mata lembu, flashes in testimony to man's care-less-ness - it's one of only two trees in the park that had flowered, since then the tree had been chopped down.

Ever shy Waterhen

Just feeling great to see that the White-breasted Waterhen is back to forage in the taman.  It has been missing in action for a while, keeping to the safer side of the taman, across the stream.
As usual being its shy self, it quietly and speedily walked away from me but not fast enough, haa!
Not easy to spot it,  only noticed its presence only when it moved, as it almost blended into the flotsam in the pond.

It is a charming bird as it almost has a certain elegance in its walk.
